Just cant take to Jools Holland.
So pompous1 -
think jools is a real talent0

Watching this on iplayer. Trombone Shorty was great, especially his version of Ernie K Doe's Here Come The Girls.
I'm afraid The Beat's Dave Wakeling's aging voice doesn't sound right any more and Jose Feliciano doesnt look great!
Generally a good show though.1 -
George McCrae was fantastic.1

Look, of course you are entitled to your opinion and you may not like him but the word "Pompous" really shook me. I cannot see Jools as pompous, ever.0 -
I always assumed that the programs were live. Was the one on BBC1 live with Chic?0

I've been to 2 recordings of his show (not the NYE one) and I have to say that you may not like him, but he doesn't come across as pompous in my humble opinion. There are some notorious arseholes in entertainment, the biggest one being Chris Evans, of course (allegedly).Riviera said:

I like JH, I think he tries to introduce new talented acts to the UK music scene, notably Seasick Steve.
However I understand that to even get a sniff of getting on his regular show the acts have to stump up 10k.
Im not saying that JH gets that money, but that appears to be the rate (er Allegedly)0 -
Think so.kings hill addick said:I always assumed that the programs were live. Was the one on BBC1 live with Chic?
