She went out for dinner with her husband, yet he laughed when she sent him a photo over Whatsapp? Didn't the restaurant have a bigger table so they could sit together?1 -
I bet she was a bit of a chubster and the staff thought she needed to lose a few pounds.2

Tina had gone out for dinner with her husband, Kevin, and two friends to the Jolly Miller.
...
Husband Kevin, 60, said: “...I was at home with our son and daughter".
Unless Kevin lives at the Jolly Miller, Tina needs to get her story straight!0 -
I think my favourite part of that story is that the Husband was eating a curry with both rice and chips1

It's odd what threads on here you remember a year after originally reading them...
The original story as the OP link no longer works: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5057297/Diner-53-blasts-pub-getting-SIX-chips-fish.html
It would appear this restaurant knew what they were talking about after all: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-6446933/A-portion-fries-contain-SIX-Harvard-professor-declares.html
