I hope that whatever the result Charlton Athletic and our fans show a typically friendly generosity of spirit to all associated with Truro City.

What i would like to see is a stong team put out against Truro and no slip ups. Make no mistake this is Truros cup final but i can remember when cup finals went to replays. For us older fans i give you Maidstone at home okay 3rd round but non league 1-1. Dangenham at home non league 1-1 ,we fielded strong teams in both games and came down to earth with a bump.Went through on both games just after areplay.

Truro fans will be up for this match as will Truro, do not make the news headlines for the wrong reasons Charlton. Expect a home win by 2 goals wish i could be at the match today but will have to watch the goals go in on the BBC.

This match is what the FA Cup is all about enjoy the day and see you all in the next round.

Was not the draw against Maidstone the game when Killer and Flanagan got sent of for fighting though? We were 1-0 down and scored with 9 men for the replay which we won.
Correct Hales and Flanagan sent off for fighting one another. In the replay Maidstones floodlights failed with 30 seconds of play remaining and play did not start again for another 25 minutes.
Chris Kinnear, the Dover manager was playing that day and they really thought they were going to win. Also said the club had to hide Flannagan as Hayles was going to kill him.

I also remember a manager being interviewed before a match on TV and saying he was looking for a bright start and all the lights went off! Can't remember who though.

That said, I still think there is value in it for those young players getting a run out in an FA Cup game on telly.

@SDAddick - what channel is the game on?

BBC, Goals only, not the whole game

That's a shitter, thanks to iFollow I've not missed a game for a while, it's a shame they don't do cup games.

Wouldnt matter anyway; Charlton arent part of the service so wouldnt get it that way and Truro arent part of the EFL so not part of it either

  • Woulda broken boycott for this one...but unable to get day off shift...!!,to see wot we are all about now & give the Truro fans a bit of friendly banter, really hope they enjoy there day out...but obv not that much(winky smiley),predict a tense game if they score 1st but think we will overcome & win 4-1 with Jacko on the scoresheet...

Just spoke to the Truro goalkeeper's parents. They came from Inverness!!!!!!!

I hope they all give a great account of themselves but in a comfortable Charlton win of course.

Hope this doesn't end Jacko's career!

Looking forward to moaning about the decision to play Holmes when he picks up an injury later.

Good luck to them. Not withstanding our appalling record in this sort of situation, i do hope we tear them a new one!
