And all this without Sancho as well, who i noticed wasn't even on the Dortmund bench today. He's probably gutted to have missed this
  • Incredible group of players, well and truly got revenge for the Euro's there
  • 2 down in a world cup final, their heads could've dropped but nope, they go and hit 5.

Brewster's goal right on half time was so crucial.

that was an absolutely cracking game. Foden and Brewster are going to be some players, like the look of Sessegnon at the back too. With this lot and the U20s being world champions as well we really need to throw money at developing all these kids, there's no excuse for not challenging for major titles over the next decade
  • Awesome stuff, well done lads.

Magnificent achievement - Brazil are the only other nation to have been winners of both the U17 and U20 World Cups in the same calendar year.

I hope that these lads, on the one hand, don't think that they have "made it" but, equally, on the other, are given the opportunity to properly grow as professionals in our top flight. Then we might see real success at senior level on the international stage.

For example, spot the Englishman in the Chelsea starting line up today:

    Courtois
    Azpilicueta
    David Luiz
    Rüdiger
    Zappacosta
    Fàbregas
    Bakayoko
    Alonso
    Pedro
    Hazard
    Morata

Sorry to be cynical but how many of them will reach 5 premier league appearances at their current club? I'd guess 1 maybe 2.
  • The press / fans / management constantly go on about our Kids not being good enough for First-Team action
They claim that on the Continent the kids are brought through differently (with Barcelona B and all that b/s)

Yet even when our kids are loaned out from Man City | Chelsea etc. they're still not being regarded as good enough even when they prove themselves (Tammy Abraham is a perfect example of this) - The press need to stop defending the Managers when they say our kids arent good enough yet, they need to stop coming out with the fact that Results are more bloody important)

Instead for the good of the English game they need to start pressing these Managers about why the likes of Phil Foden arent being given chances (or loaned out), they need to put pressure on the Managers to find out why the likes of Tammy Abraham are still being loaned out when they've proven themselves (yes its a lower level yet Jadon Sancho played two games for Borussia Dortmund II and is now playing for the First Team) - Its especially gratting when he's sent out on loan by Chelsea and yet other than Batshuayi and Morata they have no other Strikers who can come in should they get injured.

Just feels like a tired load of excuses now - Especially when in a few years we'll see Man City / Chelsea / Arsenal etc. buying up the Brazilians we beat in the Semi-Final and the Spaniards we've beaten today yet their pathway to the English Premier League will be no bloody different to the pathway of our own kids!!
