Bradford v Charlton - Post Match Views

Fantastic win on the road, probably our best result of the season so far.

Look forward to the considered thoughts of those there or those who watched the stream

Superb result! As much as he scares the living daylights out of me....Naby Sarr is becoming a shoe in at the moment! Sounded like he was monumental again today!

    Now for the takeover....fingers crossed!

  • Brilliant result. We'd never had achieved this in the last couple of seasons.

Onwards and upwards - looking forward to AFC Wimbledon next week

I’m at the stage , where if Naby Sarr gets sold , I’ll actually be sad.

  • Delighted with the win, massive win. Bradford will not lose many matches this season but we have two big wins on the road against them and Rotherham.

Two clean sheets out of three.

It is a shame that results above us did not go our way but still plenty of matches left this season.

Funny how a win feels so much better now that there's a real sense that the rat is leaving.

Well done the lads, well done Robbo.

A team and manager with ambition, Roland will be hating this.

Four points from two really tough away games is a great return.
With Wigan and Shrewsbury both winning today it was vital that we could match them.

All we need now is for Roland to sell and the valley will be buzzing.

As I said in the match thread, it's a huge three points but almost as huge as the three points is the clean sheet away from home at a promotion rival.

Well done Charlton. Well done to the team and well done to Robinson, Bowyer and Jacko who seem to have got the team and tactics spot on.

    Cue defeat:(
  • Still with Reeves, Marshall and Pearce to get fully fit and window in January to strengthen. Winning is a habit and Robbo has the players up and playing for him and the shirt.

Wigan I think will be champions and there is still all to play for. How are Shrewsbury doing it ?

    Well done Charlton.

Now just get a good takeover done and dusted.
  • Thought this was a very winnable game Bradford are not looking good we are on the bounce of some great points , well done all those who went to the game with some shocking weather due for them on their return home

Very strong showing from us as the away team at a good side. We've been more fluid in attack but the conditions did not help, and we probably got a slice of luck with the goal. However, in defence we were excellent with a only a couple of half chances conceded until Amos made one fantastic save he maybe didn't know everything about, and one flat out incredible save that he most definitely knew everything about, as well as making a few important punches/catches.

Kashi and JFC continued to show why they are probably the best pair of centre mids in this division and Sarr showed himself a genuine option at left back. Solly was back to his usually very solid self and Konsa and Bauer looked masters of their own destiny throughout.

All worked hard and the team spirit was high and clear to see. Great stuff and the kind of result promotions are made of...

A game we would have drawn last season.

Sounds like we had to hang on but hang on we did, great result.

Season panning out well after a third of the games played.

Well done Robinson and the players.

Well done to Robbo and the boys. A great 3 points on the road. Didn’t think we’d get anything from this. Onwards and upwards. Here’s to the takeover happening sooner rather than later

Good win, could easily have been a draw but for a great defensive performance. I've been a critic but Amos was really solid towards the end.

Watched it on the stream. I thought we looked solid all game. Probably our best, most disciplined performance this season. We kept our shape at the back and centre midfield.

Sarr makes such a difference. He and Konsa give us that physical presence at the back. Amos was immense all game I think. Didn't really put a foot wrong and a couple of worldly saves at the end.

Everyone put in a shift today. Magennis was isolated up front a lot of the time but worked his socks off. He needs a goal now.

Fosu played well. I thought his game was more disciplined today. Not so direct and I wonder if he had been told to play like that. Ricky was tricky as usual and Jake and Clarke were the unsung heroes in the middle. It was nice that Jake got the goal. Kashi was Kashi but almost gave it away right at the end. To be fair, apart from that he didn't really put a foot wrong.

Bauer was having a battle all day with their striker. 6 of one, half a dozen of the other I feel there. He played well. Solly was solid. Unspectacular but did his job.

So, what is there not to like about that! A 1-0 win up at Bradford. Atrocious weather conditions though. What a great win. Buzzing.

This. And I was laughed at for comparing him with Jorge Costa last season because of that 'solid, quality yet shaky' playing style.

Great win and much needed to stay in touch with the runaway leading 2. Wigan being up there i guess was expected, but Shrewsbury are really starting to get on my tits!

Then again it's our own fault by losing to Gills and plymouth who are the current bottom 2!

Watched from "Denmark". First I've seen us this season (after thwarted Peterborough attempt). First half looked really scrappy but got a bit better in the second. Defence very hard-working - lots of tackles and blocks. So impressed with Amos- was expecting someone shaky and dodgy but he looked super confident and commanding. A few good bursts forward, Josh unlucky right at the end there but overall he looked knackered. JFC was a livewire and deserved the goal.

A tiny wee feeling of getting my Charlton back. Next up, a long overdue trip to The Valley - and seeing the back of Roland, Katrien and the sucker-uppers as soon as possible!
