Subtitles in live sports

Anyone tried having subtitles on during live broadcasts.
Watching soccer special with subtitles on(with a toddler and a shouting 9 month old subtitles have become my friend lately)
Some of the subtitles have made me laugh,
For example we have had so far
Paris instruments
The goalkeeper is really struggling with the baby
The goalkeeper saved with his food.
So far the subtitles have been more entertaining than the programme itself

Nope, but have pencilled it in for cup final day on the strength of this thread. One to tick off the bucket list cheers.

I bought an audio book with subtitles.
Which I soon realised was a book.7 -
Most of the time I watch TV, I'm with people that don't speak English as a first language so subtitles are pretty necessary.
What I still find a total head**** is when we have Chinese and English subtitles, I'm left not knowing what to read and just confusing myself with my 5 year old reading skills....0 -
I think I might give it a miss.0

What would be good is to have no commentary but still have the crowd noise.0
