    The first one I remember was the moon landing in 1969. i was 6 and we were living in Germany at the time. My father knowing what an historic event it would be got me out of bed in the middle of the night to watch it live. This was before the days of Sky, internet TV, etc. so we watched it on German TV with the sound off and the live commentary vie AFN on the radio.
