How about a few GG Allin numbers?

    I won’t post them - but here’s a list to select from.

Lenny, It was Acker Bilk and his Jazzmen, funny I found an LP of his in my loft when I cleared it out. Was brought up on Trad jazz in the fifties, still enjoy listening to stranger on the shore played on Ackers liquorice stick man. It was the late 50’s and early 60’s when they were at their peak, just as the Beatles and the Stones etc were breaking through.

Most mothers in law are sonically indestructible. Should you wish to convey your feelings over lunch, say it with Vindaloo.

No, his choice would be Marvin Gaye - Let's get it on.

Eddie Calvert - The Man with the Golden Trumpet. Saw him at Woolwich Odeon many many many years ago.

My mother-in-law is welcome any time as long as she doesn’t want to help with the decorating. If she wants some music, any three traditional Irish songs will do.
