was strange as he gave her the choice of glasses or did i misread that part ?

    *SPOILER*

From what i could tell her put the liquid in the left glass but handed her the right one. But from previous conversation, doesn't he swap the glasses after she gets lipstick on the edge?
    Yes, I think so.
  • Anyone watch Liar?

My money is on someone else raping her after he left. Taxi driver? The ex?

Hmmm. Wonder whether she has something in her past of a similar nature

but did he offer her the wrong one, or did she take the wrong one?

I think there may still be another twist

    Certainly hope so !

Anybody seen the new Star Trek series on Netflix?

Impressive special effects but the main character just got on my nerves. I was a bit confused as to why she was called Michael too! What's that all about?

Yeah I've seen the first two episodes. I love Star Trek but I was underwhelmed with what I saw. I have a feeling this Trek is going to be all about prejudice - I hope I'm wrong. I'm sure it will get better when Jason Issacs is introduced and we actually see The Discovery.

I love sci-fi but Star Trek has never really gripped me. Occasionally brilliant but it often feels too pompous and preachy for me. Hopefully it will find its feet and get better.
  • 4 episodes into Ozark - excellent.
  • Is it just me or is Doctor Foster the most overrated programme on TV?

Very impressed by the first episode of the Ken Burns doc on the Vietnam war on BBC4.

I agree but it's worth watching just for the final episode.

Its not so bad but you do have to suspend some disbelief at times.

    ****** SPOILER ALERT *******

I though the bit where her family rally round & make him homeless was a bit far fenced - all done in one day ??

    Safe House.....
  • Not very safe! Poor viewing and too obvious plot.

Something absolutely, abnormally indecent about Suranne Jones. Bet she is a total filthmonger

Programme is alright. Though her ex husband is badly cast - he looks too much like a nice bloke to be playing a shitbag
  • Just finished watching Doctor Foster. Strange ending to a strange series. Enjoyed the 1st series, but the 2nd series was a bit too ridiculous for me

The Detectives on BBC2 .. real life cops chasing & catching low life murderers in Manchester .. 10/10 .. better than most fictional cops & robbers series

Loved the first episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm. It felt that it picked up seamlessly from where it left off a few years ago.

He looked bad before....but Richard Lewis looks as rough as a badger’s arse now.

'Billion Dollar Deals' .. another superb BBC series about 'how we live today' without perhaps even realising it

Agreed. Thought it was superb. Six years since the last season, that has flow.

Worth checking out 'Long Shot on Netflix. Amazing set of coincidences get a man off the death penalty and it's down to Larry David (true story)

It was shocking to see Richard Lewis, he looked at death's door when you saw him in profile and Larry looked 20 years older in that shower scene too (one for the ladies there). I was also surprised that Jeff and Leon hadn't changed at all since the last series and Jeff's (f*** you Larry) wife actually looked 5 years younger.

Have to agree. Nothing better than watching a proper fly on the wall programme. The way the Portuguese man changed once faced with all the evidence was amazing. Shows that there are some real scum bags out there - just hope you don't happen to come across one of them in your lifetime.
