Livingstone out as well to Cook (not that one). Be nice to bowl these mugs out for less than 50, and pick up some bowling points, then maybe a few bating points... don't actually care if it gets washed out this one.
  • Lancs currently 80-5 with Hameed 11 not out of 99 balls making Chris Tavare look like Chris Gayle.

  • Put a comment on the Kent thread @MrOneLung But it probablybshould have been on here.

Lots of chatter on social media today about Jamie and his chances of making the ashes squad.

What do you/he reckon. Outside chance?

Seam bowling probably isn't where the obvious vacancies are though, when you look at the various candidates like Wood, Finn and Ball who are the next players on the list

The A squad seems likely though

The selectors were there today, but probably focusing on Woakes and Westley. He has had encouraging feedback from those up high but imagine still behind Curran in their thinking at moment. The Lions are down under as well so reckon he will be in that squad.

He's a great bowler in English conditions, and got 50+ wickets last three seasons. He's by all accounts got some extra pace this year. To think I was concerned that Masters and Napier retired!

Has added some pace but don't think will ever be a 90mph bowler. Has defo put more muscle on as well.

has been top wicket taker in may/June over previous two seasons combined and tailed off slightly but this year has got stronger as season gone on.
  • In 10/11 Shahzad was upgraded from the lions to the full squad once both squads were out there. I can see that happening again to add an extra option to the squad but suspect it'll be Curran before Porter.

    What speed does he bowl?

Anderson has rarely gone much over 85 MPH consistently

I think around 85 but he thinks quicker!
