Kashi clears it as half time approaches
They attack, w half clear but HT
we are leading 1-01 -
Doing quite well... I feels very much like Rotherham are controlling large parts with us counter attacking quite often, most of our attack is coming from Holmes yet Fosu definitely getting involvedWeegie Addick said:How's Fosu?

15:50 HALF TIME
And for the first half an hour the Millers were well behind in every department. Can't have any complaints with the scoreline but at least they made a fist of it for the last 15 in the first half. Serious improvements required both on and off the ball. Charlton are dominating in every department and look comfortable so far. Midfield need to get themselves in the game because not one of the four are having a positive impact. Big half time team talk coming up from Warne. 0-1 at the break.3 -
Agreed. He could do with a bit more of an end product but he drew a booking out of Mattock (I think it is, their LB) with his pace. Looks tricky and like he might get through two or three defenders at any minute.ForeverAddickted said:

Scum 3-0 up with BBC reporting Norridge having 71% possession0

No scores, but keep an eye on Huddersfield score, according to The Sun "Charlton are the only side promoted to the Premier League that has kept a clean sheet in their first 3 games 1998-99". Two clean sheets so far for them0
-
Sounds like we're doing ok first half, let's hope they can keep it up for the second one. COYA !!0

Good half of football. They've got two physical League One center forwards and thus far, touch wood, Pearce and Bauer have been matching them. Bauer has been excellent, his positioning is very good and he has won a lot of headers. Kashi plays such an important role sitting in front of the two of them picking up second balls and pressuring their midfield.
Think we could be a little more patient, maybe a little less deliberate, in possession at times. It's clear Robinson wants them playing quickly on the half turn, but there were times after the goal where I felt we were a little too fast with the ball when we could have done with just slowing it down a bit, keeping possession, and "defending with the ball."
Watching JFC and Kashi hunt in a pack in midfield is a real thing of beauty.12 -
Currently up to 4th if all scores remain the same.1

We deserve to lead. All the 'quality' football coming through us, but we haven't hit top gear yet either and our passing has been a bit hit and miss. Rotherham a big bunch of cloggers, but all the time it's 0-1 I worry we'll get undone by a long ball or one of our smaller players getting outmuscled. We're coping okay so far though and Amos has been solid when called upon.
Da Silva is going to be a hell of a player - teams at this level not used to left backs going past them like a winger, and a bloody good winger at that.
Great to see us actually trying to win an away game.8 -
Oh, and fantastic header from BFG for the goal.1
-
Things to worry about are.
Early second half surge to Rotherham
They are kicking the right way for them
Josh is on a yellow.
The did miss a couple of good chances first half.
1 goal is never going to be enough.
Thing to build a performance around.
We have the lead, and some genuinely threatening individuals.1 -
It will be if we keep a clean sheetseth plum said:Things to worry about are.

Still unbeaten as well. How many years is that now? Amazing.ross1 said:No scores, but keep an eye on Huddersfield score, according to The Sun "Charlton are the only side promoted to the Premier League that has kept a clean sheet in their first 3 games 1998-99". Two clean sheets so far for them
