RIP. Much like Roger Moore's Bond, his version of Batman became overshadowed by the later and grittier versions but for many he was the one they grew up with and the classic caped crusader.7

Ah thats sad, one of my childhood heroes.
Remember getting a Batman PVC hood and cape one Christmas, I should have kept them a few years and sold them as fetish wear LOL

Ah very sorry to hear this, loved watching Batman when I was a kid, I used to race round the garden on my tricycle and home made cape, pretending I was him.
Then as an adult, watching it again, I loved the humour of it.
Some fantastic moments in that show, and Adam West played it beautifully

My first Batman and probably my favourite. Again, like Roger Moore, seemed like a good bloke who didn't take himself too seriously. RIP.1

POW, farewell to the real Batman1

I honestly rarely feel any twinge when most celebs die. I was five years old when Bowie was at his peak (1971) and although there is no doubt to his influence, I felt no personal loss. I respected Prince a lot but had not bought (or cared for) any of his music since 1987 with "Sign O The Times." Carrie Fisher was in the biggest movie of my childhood but she was a minor role in it.
But Adam West? I actually watched that show as a kid for years. It was a part of my childhood and I continued to get a smile when I heard his voice on Family Guy. He lived til 88. I would take that! So I don't feel bad, but liked him and will miss him a bit.4 -

Meanwhile across town:
Batman: Who is that duct tape shoed hooded fiend?
Robin: Holy pitchside sofa, Batman, it's Death
Death: er...ok....<<<<i>KA-POW!!!!>>>
Robin: Batman!
Batman: Kiss me Robin...<<<<i>Robin knells and kisses Batman tenderly on the lips>>>> Promise me Robin that you'll keep bob bob bob'n along?
Robin: <<<between sobs>>> I will and as long as i have breath left in my body, I will fight against the flat building, manager flicking, team sheet picking, odious owner of death <<<<i>Robin punches his hand into his other hand>>>- the future of Charlton Athletic depends on it!
Editors note: no elicit drugs were taken during the writing of this tragedy.

As a kid I totally failed to realise that the whole programme was made tongue in cheek but later it's so obvious.
RIP the Batman0 -
I know exactly what you mean. The innocence of childhood.Bangkokaddick said:As a kid I totally failed to realise that the whole programme was made tongue in cheek but later it's so obvious.
