Hants are effectively 8 down as Fidel Edwards has injured his shoulder and will play no further part.

Should (ho ho) get a win here, plus some valuable bonus points. Though I won't count my chickens, not least because of the weather

18-0 to 18-5 is shocking batting no matter how much the ball is moving. Need the weather to stay good for them next two days and should get the win.

Surrey win toss and elect to bat.

    Reckon bad toss to lose.

    Surrey 9-2

    Quinn with both wickets
  • Surrey now 28-4.
It was 17-4 at one stage. I am now going to spend the rest of the day at the County ground and top up my sun tan.

    246/3 after 38 overs
Tendo hit the last over for 21. Notts managed over 400 last game so a biggun is required
