    RIP to an icon. It is only natural that the heroes of our youth should wither and die but each time one passes the 60's and 70's of my youth disapear further over the horizon.

    Sleep well Sir Roger. Your book "Eyebrow acting at the Old Vic" will always be treasured in my collection...

    On a day with such crappy news this is a lovely story. I can just imagine how excited I would have been at 30 as well.

    Maybe not my favourite Bond but 'The Spy Who Loved Me' was my film growing up.

    The song and the car and the wit. Wonderful.

    My dad saw Roger Moore in 1963 on London Bridge station. Asked for his autograph for me and he drew the stick man saint symbol and signed the paper with a smile.
