    Yep, Danson Road right opposite the lake.

    I grew up nearby and used to watch him on tv in Ivanhoe.

    No, you're right. Lived in a big white house in Danson Road, just yards from the entrance on the corner. I also think he lived (briefly) in Wansunt Road in Bexley with Dorothy Squires. My biggest memory growing up in Cold Blow was seeing her house go up in flames(she wasn't living there at the time) and then playing in the grounds (catching frogs in the outdoor swimming pool) once it became derelict. Early 80's they knocked it down & built a dozen houses on the site......

    Loved Spy Who Loved Me - remember seeing it at Bexleyheath Cinema with some mates. Opening scene when he skis off the mountain & his union jack parachute opens is a classic.

    Loved him as the saint and the persuaders. Not so much as bond but still enjoy those films.

    RIP to a man who didn't take himself to seriously.

    RIP - he has been an ambassador for UNICEF for donkeys years, going round the globe answering all those James Bond questions over and over again to try and make folks' lives better.

    The highlight of his career was surely a brief vocal appearance on I'm Alan Partridge.

    Not my favourite Bond, that will always be Connery, but he was a close second, he made possibly the best Bond film in Live and Let Die, and he had more emotion in a raised eyebrow than George Lazenby had in his entire body.

    And he made a Volvo cool!

    That was actually The Protectors starring the late great Robert Vaughn

    RIP Sir Roger a great actor as Bond, The Saint etc and also for all his work with UNICEF

    RIP Sir Roger.
    Always got the impression he lived life to the full and he had a dry wit. My uncle had a house near where he lived with Dorothy Squires and it got a bit lively at times he said. But he always came across as a charming gent.

    Another classic non bond I enjoyed was North Sea Hijack playing Rufus Excalibur Folkes alongside James Mason and Anthony Perkins.
