If I read correctly says a stress-related illness so hopefully with a little bit of care he will be ok.
Same thing happened with Kanye West earlier this year.0 -
Wish him the fullest recovery, as soon as possible. Get well soon Aaron.0

Another good reminder that we need to talk more about mental illness, and the fact that it is non-discriminatory, can manifest in all different types of ways and at different times, and that we are a long way from acceptance and understanding.
I hope that Aaron Lennon is alright, and that whatever he is going through makes him stronger and more resilient.14 -

Sad news. I hope he is getting the care he needs.1

Just heard this on the radio. I really feel for him. He's got the added pressure of being in the public eye too.1

People should talk more about feelings etc. It isn't unmanly to do so, I laugh most things off but a recent call out on top of personal stuff really screwed me up for a few days. Next drill night I chose to talk about it to the watch and it helped a great deal.
Professionals can be great, but never doubt those you trust who can relate to what has effected you.6 -
Hope he gets the help he needs and comes out of it stronger, always liked him as a player.1

All the best, Aaron.
Mental illness is something that is still massively stigmatised, especially in men, and it's great to see an overwhelmingly positive/sympathetic response here and elsewhere.4 -
Apparently bi-polar is quite common among professional footballers because one minute they're a god and the next they're shit. The highs of adulation and the lows of abuse from opposition fans and sometimes your own fans must be hard to take.0

Good luck to him. Hope he gets back to the top of his game.3 -
Always wondered why Levy dumped him so quickly. Thats fills in some of the blanks from back then.0

Absolutely. See one of your employees struggling with personal problems so cast him off to become someone else's problem. Management at its best!!JohnBoyUK said:Always wondered why Levy dumped him so quickly. Thats fills in some of the blanks from back then.

In the article, Levy doesn't like the way he's behaving so tells him to sort himself out or go.
The issue is should the player do that or the club seek help for him?
