VOTV135 out for Southend with major Chris Powell interview

Posting out at 3pm, still time to order at www.votvonline.com and hopefully get it in the post tomorrow morning, RM permitting (that's Royal Mail, not Richard Murray...).

For avoidance of doubt, this is not the actual front cover.

He'd often finish press interviews, "And we move on".

Airman Brown's Diary in this edition is even by its standards something to appall you, in its meticulous documentation of the everyday incompetency of the club management in countless different directions.
And that's before you get onto the separate article which shreds the new ticketing regime for next season.
This VOTV ought to be placed in the hands of any potential buyer alongside the official prospectus. It would not put off any buyer. On the contrary, to any buyer with any previous experience of football, it would show how relatively easily a lot of things could be fixed, requiring only competent management.23 -

From the picture Airman's posted, I've been sent a different version. I hope mine's like one of those rare £1 coins and turns out to be worth hundreds!3

Same here. In fact I am (along with my fellow WARriors and protestors) on the front cover!Stig said:From the picture Airman's posted, I've been sent a different version. I hope mine's like one of those rare £1 coins and turns out to be worth hundreds!

Just finished reading it from cover to cover - a fantastic issue that veers from depressing to hopeful to inspiring (thank you, SCP)... Thanks to Rick and all the.VOTV contributors for consistently delivering the goods all season.9

Doesn't quite make up for not being at the game - self imposed boycott kind of thing - but reminds me why I won't return until these bastards are gone. And as ever a great read.0

Joined up yesterday afternoon for a years worth of VOTV and first edition arrived today...a level of service I'm not used to when it comes to most things Charlton.6

Same here - sitting in the garden reading the copy that dropped through the letterbox this morning not quite the same as being at the game but after Tuesday I'm done (apart from the odd trip down) until these ****s are gone from our club.redsek said:Doesn't quite make up for not being at the game - self imposed boycott kind of thing - but reminds me why I won't return until these bastards are gone. Great interview with Chris Powell. Almost brought a tear to my eye thinking about what we had with that promotion winning team of his and how these imbeciles threw it all away.
Just sell the club Douchbag and eff off and take Daisy with you.

The previous owners and Cash played their part too in terms of Powell. That second season in the Championship. We were not far off - just needed a bit of backing rather than the rug being pulled. Sigh!Fortune 82nd Minute said:

Ordered mine to my home address rather than uni. Silly me. Now I have to wait until Tuesday to read it. Probably a good thing as I have an essay to write for Monday... bore.0

So I was temporarily selling VOTV while my old man had a chat with a couple of people about this and that.
Someone walking past taps me, says "yeah go on, keep selling that, old Rick needs the money doesn't he?" - to which I, nonplussed, shout as he walks on, "Sorry mate, what was that? D'you wanna repeat yourself?"
Said person then tells me to "fuck off". (I respond not quite in kind, but "fuck you".) He was wearing a blue top, short, glasses I think, bad teeth, seemed like a massive bellend. I was very pissed off.
Can anyone tell me who that would be?0 -

So the lawyer holed up at the Valley has/had nothing to do with due diligence or a takeover but was actually there collating evidence for the Eddie Heath sex abuse case?1

I know it's probably been done to death and without wanting to provoke a feud that will cause @AFKABartram and co problems, I do find the anger at the likes of @Airman Brown and the support of the regime, well, quite upsetting to be honest. Charlton fans, the same fans who fought so hard to save the club, now rowing with each other. And some supporting a group of people who seem hellbent on destroying the club we love.
Forget the losing teams, imo the fractured fanbase is the most troubling and heart-wrenching legacy of Roland's reign.8 -

There is certainly a divide in the supporter base. The 98% who approve of the resistance and the 2% (who nearly all seem to post on another forum) who are not exactly in favour of the regime, but hate personalities who protest so much that they are happy with the abject state of the club. There appears to be no more than 10 people who constantly post anti protest stuff online.Valley11 said:I know it's probably been done to death and without wanting to provoke a feud that will cause @AFKABartram and co problems, I do find the anger at the likes of @Airman Brown and the support of the regime, well, quite upsetting to be honest. Millwall can get support back if there is a reason, Coventry took over 40k to Wembley. Our fan base can recover.
Don't kid yourself that we have a 50/50 schism. The proportions in my opinion are very different, it is the internet that distorts the degree of backing a certain position has.20 -
Expect there are only a handful of people that would react that way all from a certain other "place". On top of that seems most of them don't even attend so should narrow it down a bit.PaddyP17 said:So I was temporarily selling VOTV while my old man had a chat with a couple of people about this and that.
