Or better still, get your wife to do it.12 -
That's what I love about Charlton Life. You can go to sleep reading about how old your counterpart is that you first had sex with, and wake up to a query about a mushroom45
-
Might be a magic one, eat it and Roland might disappear.1

All mushrooms are edible, it's just that some are only edible once41

You're going to take advice from the weirdos who post on here about eating a mushroom your wife found by a lake?8
-
I wouldn't try it0

Definitely give you the trots if it goes yellow when scraped, otherwise looks like a field mushroom. I collect mushrooms and just make sure i know the deadly ones and stick to the ones i can positively identify. Smell of iodine is a good clue to avoiding.DaveMehmet said:

Serious question, why take the risk? What could the possible pay-off be for potentially poisoning yourself?14

Unless you really want the magic sort I don't see it as a worthwhile thing to do.Fiiish said:Serious question, why take the risk? What could the possible pay-off be for potentially poisoning yourself?

What's wrong with eating something perfectly fine, found growing in the free. Or are we living in a world where we rather prefer to pop down to the local supermarket, spending our money on mass produced stuff?

Forgive me if I'm missing something, but isn't there a fundamental flaw in asking a forum where the majority of contributors live in England about the culinary safety of a fungus growing in New Zealand?10

Might give it a go. If all goes well, I'll know the outcome of the Bury gamecafcdave123 said:
