Looks like Morgan Fox is next out the door. I know he's a bit inconsistent but not sure we can afford to lose him halfway through this season personally. Just wondered what others thought. Happy to see him go? Sell him now and line RD's pockets some more?

  • On what grounds
Dont see him as the next premier league super signing
    League 1 is his level
  • Depends on how much we get for him and how much Robinson gets of that to re invest.

If the reported £1 million is accurate then I think he goes with most fans blessing. Chicksen with DaSilva in front looks more exiting to me.

My mate in Derby says in the local Derby press the club is confident of winning his signature?

Well it's good that there might be a bidding war to land him. I thought Sheffield Wed were his destination.

If we get £1m for Fox then we have a much more expensive squad than I had ever imagined

Great category shout, if only there was a category for specifically the club he plays for...

    No you Fox off.

Chicksen is a better player, Fox isn't going to be good enough long-term and if we can get £1m+ for him then I'd take it.

  • Fox is like marmite, he is still young and learning. He played much better with Chicksen in front of him against Bristol Rovers. He can be frustrating I know and gets caught out of position but he gives his all for this club which I don't think we can question. It may not feel like it at moment but I think if he left now it could be a big loss for us in the future. I for one want him to stay.

I want him to go but probably not for the reasons you think. He is 100% committed and works hard at his game always. I don't think he's universally appreciated ( I think he's limited ) so will always divide support.

He deserves a shot at a club with genuine and realistic Premier ambitions. He really does. Hope it happens for him and it works out well.

Agreed, I want him to stay. U can see he cares about us and gives his all even though he does make some mistakes. He has been very exposed this season with lookman in front of him but look at the difference with chicksen playing in front. Shame to see him go but on another note 11m for lookman if we can't buy will grigg for 2m then that's disappointing. Off load Novak and Ajose if needs be to free up some funds. Take a punt on the welling or Dover striker and use hanlan, kag and umerah.

A fresh start for Morgan Fox and a good (tbc) fee for the club should be a win-win, but I don't feel great about this. I don't think that fan abuse has helped and can see him being another Simon Francis (Charlton reject 2010-11, Bournemouth POTY 2012-13).

Good luck and best wishes Morgan.
  • Good luck to Morgan , your football career is short, and you've got to milk it for all you can, the amount of abuse he gets from the fans is not good, if my son is anything to go by i hope he does move for his own sake.
  • I'll drive him up there myself, Good riddance.

I was expecting one of those very funny threads that shows something entirely different to what one is expecting. Very funny.
  • I don't rate him at all.

But I also don't boo/abuse him at all - shame that doesn't filter through to all our fans

Ill be honest and say im not his biggest fan. Some weeks he has a blinder and other weeks and absolute mare. But I'm just not sure now is the right time for us to let him go? Its that niggling thought that we need him more than he needs us.???
  • He might improve elsewhere and be a decent left back but I'd be surprised if he was ever someone we really regretted letting go of. Good luck to him though. Let's see if any of this is re-invested...

hes not great, loving and giving all for the club isnt the same as being a technically gifted player there is a difference,i wont be sad to see him go IF we get a fee around the 750k-1mil mark and robinson is given it to invest back in the team, and try and build a long term sqaud not one thats going to get up to the championship and then come straight back down which is what will happen all the time this dickhead owns us.

have never publicly slagged him off in a stadium might have said between freinds hes fucking useless etc, im sure were all guilty of that and he wish him well wherever he goes but as said the other week and a good few agreed with me maybe charlton just isnt the right club for him right now.

I'm starting to get to this point as well. I don't think he'll ever do enough to win some around, so matchdays are always at the risk of being miserable for him, even if he plays well. The fact that Hudds, Wednesday, and now Derby are apparently looking at him shows that teams higher up the Championship and with higher ambitions than we've had since he broke into the first team see something in him shows they think there's a player in there.

Given some comments about Lookman in the weeks before he left (a 19 year old winger with just over a year of senior football), and the way Fox is treated, I sometimes worry that we have fans looking to eat our own.

This. I think he's pony but i wouldn't really see the point in going out my way to tell him.
