No idea who the triallist was or even the trialist ; - )

Both are correct, we just follow previous club style! ;-)

Didn't have a surname for him, I'm afraid, but his forename was Alexis. Do your worst, Google!

This is one that smells distinctly of Thomas Driesen

But at least if it is a trial, the manager is probably getting final refusal.
Some people are going to be eating their words on Foxy if this is true.

Was about to say Scholl is more likely as he was replaced by Sampson, another full back.

    But I'm claiming the scoop regardless ; - )

Linked by his agent maybe. Doesn't seem much substance in those stories.

Still, it's good to see that Steve Head and Robinson are scouting players from abroad.

i'm sure the fact he's Belgian is just a coincidence and nothing to do with Thomas Driesen and if Karl think another, English based, player is better Driesen and Duchatelet will be happy with that.

No way in a million years has this anything to do with Driesen. Karl knows the lad and his family, his blood group, inside leg measurement and if he prefers porridge or cornflakes. Karl has personally watched the boy in his last 50 games at all levels, and has learned Flemish just in case.

Robinson told Duchatelet he wanted to sign a footballer, Duchatelet said 'we'll start with the feet, and get the rest sorted depending on the Lookman deal'.
    Here's the teaser.

According to Wikipedia I think he's only played nine games in his life

That didn't stop us from signing Sarr, Ceballos and Ba.

The good news is he's only on trial.

Never know, he might be a decent player.

We'd be stupid not to be looking at left backs, let's be honest

Agreed. If he's at Benefica someone from a decent club has seen something in him. And we're having him play for the U23s instead of just sending him to the first team squad.

U23s always seem to do very well under a clearly good coach in euell. How many of the crop will go on to play for us or higher and how many will fall at this final hurdle I wonder ...

Rcc, umerah, hanlan, Edwards, lapslie, Kennedy, dijksteel are always mentioned but I wonder if they actually will?? I have only see Archie often and he looks very good. Any views on the others from those more knowledgable than me?

What happened to Terrell Thomas? And how good is millar?

Wasn't Aribo on trial with us to begin with? I'd never write off a trial then. You never know. Could be as sweet as that!

Thomas was (is?) on loan at Woking.

Umerah is a big powerful lad with a strong shot. He needs a bit of subtlety. I like Edwards but he has never been chosen for the first team. Lapslie is class and I can definitely see him playing for the first team. Kennedy is nowhere near the first team. Djikisteel has been converted to a centre half but I see him as a defensive midfielder. Terell Thomas is a good ball playing centre half and he is getting good reviews at Woking.
