Chris O'Loughlin

Edit: just realised this is in Charlton international, probably did it by mistake. Don't know if any mods want to change it.

Both. Lined up to replace him and unsettle him.5

Hopefully give Slade the kick up the arse he needs to be more positive0
-
Nothing in it.
Just like when Fraeye came over to take in a game when Powell was in charge. That was just a coincidence and even though he was in the directors box with a lap top he wasn't scouting for Roland at all.
Yes, he was officially employed a few weeks later but the two events weren't connected.

RD all over. If Slade goes what proven British based manager (for a club of our size) would want the job? He can go for the British network manager instead. Of course usual few will see nothing wrong with the appointment either.2
-
To be honest, if they were to sack Slade and appoint him, it would be another example of the incompetence. Yes they may spin it as 'we gave you an English manager' etc, but trust me an 8th appointment in just under 3 years would very much play into our hands re: how they are perceived in the wider footballing world.
I believe their credibility is shot in the English game as it is. Unfortunately if Slade doesn't work out, yet another nail/own goal by our clueless CEO4 -
If Slade goes Katrien can still say each managerial appointment has been a success because we had 0 points at the start of the season.16
-
If the same person has chosen 7 managers in under 3 years, does that not obviously show the person who is selecting them does not have a clue to whom a good manager is.cabbles said:To be honest, if they were to sack Slade and appoint him, it would be another example of the incompetence. He will improve our ranking.5

As our next interim manager he will prove to be the correct decision, just like all the other decisions.2

Will Slade become another bitter ex employee..?0

Why is he out of work?
Has Roland sacked him in the past?
If the answer is yes then he's just another network manager.
Learnt from our mistakes my arse.
Just sell the club and fuck off8 -
I imagine he just blagged his way in to the directors box and somehow got given the seat 1 along from Murray. Pure coincidence.Henry Irving said:Nothing in it.

Yeah but if they sacked him they know what qualities he has. It's worked for Katrien before.blackpool72 said:Why is he out of work?

With all the coverage from Jim White this could be a massive own goal for them if they do appoint him, will no doubt be pursued to the end of the earth by the press. They're already demanding answers.1

That's what I think too.cafc_harry said:

Slade is safe now, the performances may not have been great, but 8 points in 4 matches isn't "sackable" form when the guy has a 3 year contract to be paid up!4
-
IMHO Meire doesn't decide when a manager is sacked. Duchatelet does. Meire would keep Slade on until the end of his contract because the alternative means more work for her. Duchatelet the megalomaniac makes decisions on a whim. Which means Slade will get the boot once Douche gets bored.8
-
Expect at least 10 mentions of the fact he's British when he's announced on the OS3

When Peeters, Luzon and Fraeye got sacked, it was after a long run of bad results. While none of us would have appointed them in the first place, the sackings when they arrived were hardly a surprisejohnny73 said:IMHO Meire doesn't decide when a manager is sacked. Duchatelet does. Next week is a bit of a banana skin for him though - League leaders at home, albeit in a Cup tie, nonsense away match against League Two outfit and then a match that shouldn't be on with potentially four players missing.killerandflash said:Slade is safe now, the performances may not have been great, but 8 points in 4 matches isn't "sackable" form when the guy has a 3 year contract to be paid up!

Luzon and Fraeye were expected, not so sure about Peeters though.killerandflash said:

Peeters was slightly unlucky, but a poor run of results, plus "rumours" that things weren't right behind the scenes meant that there wasn't much anger here at his actual sackingHandG said:
