Afraid I am not there to watch. Got in too late from a tough tennis match. Brum were the best team I saw last year and ended our long unbeaten run at the valley with a well deserved last minute goal.

Would appreciate any updates from anyone there.

Mottingham and walk up Middle Park Avenue. About 10 or 15 minute walk but all straight.

Eltham is probably equidistant too but I've never gone from there as usually drive.

Good to see Scott Parker back in a Charlton shirt

    Tex playing but no Ba

Hackett-Fairchild wasted on the bench although maybe saving him for the first team Saturday.

14' Good move from Charlton ends with Ahearne-Grant's deep cross being cut out just before it reaches triallist Parker at the far post #cafc

Harsh on Scotty making him go on trial. Forgive and forget I say.

My sources tell me that the trialist is in fact Josh Parker

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Josh_Parker

Right Winger/Forward who once played for Red Star Belgrade (and QPR, Oldham and Aberdeen).

Can also play right back and left wing

I went to the game which was enjoyable.
Apparently Birmingham are second in the league and had recently put five past Crystal Palace who had a lot of first teamers playing, and they were a big, and decent enough team.
To answer the question above Archie Edwards brought down the Birmingham player after he did a bit of a mazy run and just reached the area, probably an unnecessary foul, but it was a clear penalty.
Charlton played down the slope first half and were the dominant side, the second half was more even, but Charlton still had the edge, the penalty was a bit of a shame.
Triallist Josh Parker took most of the corners until he was subbed and was OK generally, not especially eye catching. Our best player was George Lapslie, but he also faded a bit second half which suggests to me he isn't ready just yet for a first team start, but we could do with a player like him in the midfield. I would say that Dijksteel and Aribo, who both played well also are not yet quite ready.
Thomas at CB is certainly first team sub standard, Tex would be OK in the first team too, ahead of Konsa looking at the bigger picture right now. Good to see Umerah get stronger as the game progressed.
Hackett-Fairchild is a big footballer, as Yamfam is a little one.
I guess at about 80 in attendance, didn't see Slade there, but Charlie MacDonald was, and i think I spotted Jonathan Fortune also.

Thanks for the report @seth plum.

Are MacDonald and Fortune working in football at all?

Anyone know if we've signed Hackett-Fairchild permanently?

I believe Charlie might still be playing but I can't answer the other questions.

McDonald is with Greenwich Borough along with Pritchard. Both doing really well there

Fortune lives up the club. He is seemingly always there.

Charles-Cook starting as is Hackett-Fairchild. Wonder if he has signed?

    No Tex, no Ba.

Hanlan with the first team again I assume.

Wonder if Tex has traveled to Staffordshire today?

He's played three (?) U23 games now which is around the same number that Bauer and Lennon played before making a return.

Thing is who do you take out of the squad? Harsh on Konsa, who also covers right back, and Lennon is left back cover as well as centre back, and Bauer and Pearce are first choice.
