Looked him up on Google and he wasn't a rich land owner or a Conservative politician.

    RIP
  • Without Arnie and his work with IMG golf would not be the global sport it is now. Every pro especially in the US should be grateful they can earn the money they do now.

RIP a true legend and icon

    RIP The King

I had some VHS of him when I was a kid. It was him and Tony Jacklin competing against each other and trying to outdo each other with tricky shots - massive bunkers, skipping over water etc etc. A real superstar of the sport when it was a different game to nowadays

Arnold Palmer did for golf what Clay/Ali did for Boxing.
The first real golf super star post War and helped make Golf the global game, with Nicklaus,Player, Seve and Tiger following in his footsteps.

A very bright guy who knew how to combine sport and business.

    RIP Arnold Palmer,

The man who did more than anyone to make golf popular to the masses. RIP
  • R.I.P. Arnie.

Two of the Big Four from the sixties gone now, Arnie and Billy Casper.

Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player still going strong.

Did anyone else have the Arnold Palmer pro shot golf game, when they were a kid ?

It was "Arnold Palmer" on the end of a "stick" which you pulled the handle and he hit the ball.

You had a green, bunkers, a lake and all the golf clubs.

I've still got it in the loft.
