I know its not necessarily England Test related, but did anyone notice Paul Collingwoods bowling figures last night of economy of 44 runs per over.!!
His 3 balls went for 22 runs.
  • On my way to the oval. Looking forward to it. Thought I'd post in here now as I'll probably be too pissed to do it later

Cook won the toss and has opted to bat

    England unchanged.

Pakistan drop Hafeez and Rahat Ali. Iftikhar Ahmed and Wahab Riaz come in. Azhar Ali has been promoted to open.

Hales caught. He was convinced it didn't carry.

Inconclusive tv shots and given out.

We don't make it easy for ourselves - do we?
Maybe we just want to have a game where we have to come from behind again.
I was looking forward to us being No 1 again.

England first innings batting does tend to follow a pattern. Maybe we should demote Vince and Ballance to 7 and 8. Play Woakes at 6 and give Moeen and Bairstow a run at 4 and 5. When Stokes comes back Vince and Ballance could bicker over who gets to bat at 9

And Broad gets Sami for 1 - Pak 3-1 at EOP
  • Been away and haven't kept track other than the scores.

What do we make of that? Seems very low for an oval pitch? Poor shots/good bowling/lively pitch?

Good to get a wicket before close though.

Also, from what I can see they only bowled 80 overs? There really is no excuse. We are just as bad as any team but people are paying to watch 90 overs. If weather doesn't intervene then they should be able to watch that. Not good enough and something needs to be done.

Poor shots by Hales, Cook and Root put England in real trouble, but as usual our 6,7,8 rescued us. Great knock by Mooen, but he was dropped in single figures!

A decent pitch to bat on, tomorrow will be very interesting

    Pathetic over rate...

The only worry with that is they slow down even more knowing they have the extra hour!
