    A year ago I think I said Ranieri wouldn't last until Christmas. But even with that in mind, I'm willing to go out on a limb and say this is a doomed appointment.

    Martinez loves being in front of the camera. This position requires less day to day time on his part and frees him to also be a pundit on the premier league for the US tv markets

    Having worked with a few Belgains at Everton, I suppose they may have looked at that and thought it's best to bring in someone who knows some players already, instead of a total outsider.

    Very surprising appointment and was expecting him to stay in England. I do however think he could do well, better than people first think.
