Vince c Younis b Sohail 39. He was just starting to look Test class as well.

Ballance got away with one just after lunch. He would have been out lbw, if the umpire had given it.

Poor shots by Vince & Bairstow. It's a good batting wicket I'd say & we should need to get 350 minimum to be competitive.

Good old Garry Ballance. To be honest he has played positively which is good.

The snail will be found out by the Pakistan bowlers. I will say now that he will not get a score over 50 in the whole series. A poor decision by the selectors, as was Compton. I would much rather Westley or Borthwick given a chance.

Ballance 50 no. Mind you he needs 51.

Ali just got away with one there. He was given out caught behind, but the review showed Ali didn't hit it.

So the decision was reversed and he was given not out, even though he would have been out lbw.

Pleased we didn't make another massive score. I want England to win but I like 'em close.

Also, is this the most likeable Pakistani side for years? Always seem to play with smiles on their faces.

Think Jimmy and Woakes might enjoy themselves tomorrow - could see Pakistan out for less than 200.

What I'd like to know is, you are meant to have 90 overs in a day , and yesterday Jimmy was out in the 86th - now, if you deduct the 2 over turnaround, then that makes it that there should have been at least 2 overs of us bowling at Pakistan?

You only get an extra half an hour to bowl the overs you should already have done by 6pm.

    Anderson was dismissed after 6:20pm.

The turnaround of 10 minutes takes it past 6:30pm and any overs not bowled by then are lost.

    Cheers Joe.
  • I still don't fully understand why test cricket starts at 11 am. Especially in England where bad light can affect play, I think it should start at 10am. Can anyone shed any light (pun intended) on the late start time?
