Nicola Sturgeon

I never liked her before she became SNP leader, however since then I have been increasingly impressed by her inetgrity and leadership; 'tis a pity she could not be the next UK Prime Minister.

Because if she gets Scottish Independance it'll be like Merkel being able to become our Prime Minister.

To be honest I think it would be a disaster for English interests if she did ever become Prime Minister

feck off !!! bloody sweaty's had their vote (which we wernt involved in) and they voted to stay in -we now vote to leave & they want another bl**y vote !!! They should have thought about what we might do when they voted !!!

Makes you laugh - someone ask Miss Sturgeon how a few sheep farmers & fishermen are going to pay for free NHS prescriptions for the rest of the population. Basket case of a country & will be broke within 5 years.

Just involve us next time & I'll tell them where to go.......

Hate her with a vengeance. She is adamant that Scotland wants its independence and will hold as many referendums as it takes until she gets the result that suits her. Cast from the same dye as Salmond.

Well not strictly true is it.

During their referendum they were sold a pup by the stronger together campaign that the UK was remaining part of the EU. That has turned out to be not true.

but no-one had asked us at the time whether we would stay in if we were given the choice. Just heard someone say the Scots were asked if they wanted to remain as part of the UK or be Independent.....nothing about being part of EU. They voted to be part of the UK & now the UK want to leave

    tough !!!

The U.K. the "bloody sweatys" voted to stay part of is now fundamentally different to the one they voted to remain part of.

Lived in Scotland most of 2013, they didn't seem to like her, or maybe were a bit "shy" saying so. Which surprised me.

I don't blame the Jocks one little bit . Whoever they seem to vote for it turns out to a waste of time wether that is in the general election ( electing a government) or the referendum. It must be bloody frustrating.

Luckily they have the success in Euro 2016 to console themselves with.

    wrong e.g.

"Let me be clear about this. Whatever happens as a result of this outcome, England, Wales and Northern Ireland will always be Scotland's closest neighbours and our best friends - nothing will change that.

Scotland today is no where near as good financially as they were when the original referendum was called.

Oil, for example, was a large bargaining tool and is worth a lot less now.

Yes, and I wish we had a joint EU referendum to vote Scotland leave or remain as part of Britain (Scexit).
  • Some double standards in her speech....

Important we stick together with our neighbours...but not UK?

Respect the wishes of the people...except for the referendum in Scotland

If there was another referendum about Europe next week, I reckon the result would be to stay in.
