Away Games next Season, how many miles......

There are some awful trips (distance, round trip from/to the Valley, shortest route)

Gillingham (60 miles)
Southend (80 miles)
Oxford (150 miles)
Northampton (170 miles)
MK DOns (180 miles)
Swindon (190 miles)
Peterborough (190 miles)
Coventry (250 miles)
Bristol (260 miles)
Chesterfield (340 miles)
Shrewsbury (370 miles)
Scunthorpe (370 miles)
Port Vale (370 miles)
Sheffield (380 miles)
Rochdale (460 miles)
Oldham (470 miles)
Bolton (480 miles)
Bury (480 miles)
Fleetwood (540 miles)

Plus 3 from 4 of Millwall, Walsall, Bradford & Barnsley.
Plus 1 from 4 of Accrington, Plymouth, Wimbledon, Portsmouth.

Whats the bet all of Fleetwood, Bury, Bolton, Rochdale and Oldham are mid week...........

No doubt out of the 3 from 4 and 1 from 4 the nearest clubs to us will be promoted, i.e Millwall and Wimbledon.

Millwall and Accrington promoted via playoffs to ensure almost every game is bloody miles away.

Yeah but Coventry if you are driving is only 1 hr 50 each way.

And the 3 hours to get out of the local out of town shopping centre on a match day :(

This is really helpful, but don't know how accurate it is. Where the hell do you live that Gills is 60 miles away?!

Sorry, just realised they're round trips, my mistake.

So do that lot and its over 5000 miles by my rough calculations.

There's some cracking away fixtures there. I'm looking forward to it already ...

Given there are some smaller grounds and more manageable journeys, a season ticket and membership of Valley Gold is probably likely to be more necessary next season

Awful? More drinking time on the train!

Bring on Fleetwood. Looking forward to that one, but please don't be a Tuesday night game.

I think we'll all be up for that. My new ones will be there, Rochdale, Bury, Shrewsbury, Northampton then possibly Bradford and Accrington. I'd probably do them midweek as well, Fleetwood would just mean a night out in Blackpool.

There are definitely some errors there. For example, The Vally - MK Dons is 150.8 return by this not exactly direct route:

Great timing, just got given a company car. Any midweek fixtures could result in a meeting somewhere near by. Cough, cough.
