Just came across this article again which discusses running the business to ensure its financially sustainable. It covers going over budget, substantially increasing the wage budget for shitter players, giving players like Fox bigger contracts at the start of the season when there was no real need to, paying up Bikey's contract in full, paying wages for the likes of Polish Pete, Dmitrovic, Tucudean etc.
(Incidentally I'd love to know why Roland is paying Dmitrovic's wages to play for Alcorcon out of Charlton's money, the FFP implications of this and how it benefits Charlton vs the network).
The article also mentions how we scouted Kashi by accident, one of our better players who I hear is having another good game today. But that's none of my business.0 -

you can buy them in principle, however from the UK it is very difficult because they are not traded much. More importantly UK Brokers cannot buy you a small amount in a way which actually gets you named on the shareholder register. @dippenhall found one who claimed it was possible, so he, @Weegie Addick and I all deposited a grand each to open account. Then they turned round and said it was impossible because the shares were not liquid enough. Weegie and I still haven't got our grands back. @Alwaysneil ask IG if you are really on the list of shareholders. @PragueAddick, yes this is exactly what I intend to ask.
I think it is unlikely my name will be on the register as the shares will be in a nominee account. I think I should be able to obtain a certificate issued by Belfius Bank demonstrating the number of non-material shares I wish to attend with.
I intend to call the bank on Tuesday to discuss this.
