Just seen matchday photo's of Welling's game at Altrincham on Saturday and he is on the bench with Goldberg. Surely he is worth a better gig than that?

Probably get a managerial gig at that level. Needs to have a footing there so seems as good a place as any
  • Might be their Manager next season... They've got a good man down there which is good to see!!

He's been training a team of kids on a Thursday at The Meridian. They train on the pitch next to us. Something he enjoys I'm sure, just feel he is wasted a bit. As soon as we get rid of those shite owners he is one we should bring back

Heard he was scouting for Celtic down here but not getting paid very well.

    Struggling by all accounts.

There an awful lot of unemployed managers and coaches out there, which explains how if a job is advertised, even at a basket case of a club (no names mentioned), there will be stacks of applicants

Absolutely correct. If anyone got the job, at Charlton, shortly followed by the sack it would in no way blot their C.V. It would be an expected entry under " things I did while looking for a real job"

Riga, and then Lee Clark, both took the Blackpool job knowing that they were farmore of a basket case than even us, but it's a job

He's the new Director of the Academy, and Goldbergs First team coach ....
  • Shame he doesnt have a reputable contact as First-Team Manager at Charlton anymore.

Be great to send him some of our U18 / U21 kids for some experience (Didnt do Carl Jenkinson any harm dropping to that level)
