Good business sense on one level, but do the Bel ends realise that football is part of the entertainment business rather than just business? They have to offer the customer more than low, low prices (with a nice margin on the side)

The interview he gave at Huddersfield wentndown like a cup of cold sick at board level. It wasn't "approved". He is seen as a problem and the SMT have been actively trying to move him on for sometime.

It's no surprise I guess considering they did the same thing to Morrison and Igor.
If a senior player misses a couple of games, Roland wants him off the books. He pretty said as much when he was over here and the situation with Watt, Vetokele, Morrison and now Solly proves the point. It is a another crackpot theory and one which will ensure more failure next season if they don't fuck off.

Don't want to re-open the whole POTY dinner debate but these reports from Henry and others suggest that the players are much more likely than we might have thought to want to engage with fans, even after such a difficult season.
Feel a lot more sympathetic to them after reading the comments on here. I think it would be a shame if the POTY award was hijacked and loads of people voted for Rhys Williams, as has been suggested before. Won't even register with Roland and Katrien, and harsh on the likes of Cousins, Solly, Teixera, Bauer, etc, who have put the effort in during the season and only find themselves part of a side that's been relegated because of what's gone on over there heads.

The POTY dinner won't be hijacked- of that I'm certain - but it is a sad reflection on the mantra of "Support the team, NOT the regime" when regular attendees decide not to come this time. Forget the money" given" to the club - this is the time to assure our players that we're in this together.
I wish more fans could have met the players last night as I believe opinions would have changed after speaking with them.
This may well be the last opportunity supporters have to speak with some of our favourites & indeed stalwarts that we might have expected to be "one club players" if it wasn't for the antics of the Belgian spoilers.
Tickets for the dinner will be on sale until close of business next Wednesday so there's still time to book your place.
You know it makes sense.
Oh and at this stage, there is no indication as to whether our CEO will be in attendance, or not....

When did Solly last sign new contract? Perhaps in his contract, he has a clause that he makes X number of appearances he, gets an extension with a pay rise. So STM wanted him out to stop this happening.

Gillingham have a different opinion to you. If Mr Solly hadn't told Meire et al to go forth and multiply in January, I am reliably informed (by a member of the Gillingham first team) that a deal was "done" to send him there on loan - the deal was done behind Mr Solly's back.

Hearing and reading this information from people at the dinner and those who have their 'ear to the ground', makes me wonder why even more of the players haven't spoken out before! She treats them so insultingly that they would be better off moving on instead of being led by a petulant teenager. I thought KM couldn't sink any lower in my estimation but I was so sadly wrong. I feel even more sadness for the loyal players like Solly, Cousins, Hendo and Jackson, plus the youngsters who are having to face this negativity instead of enjoying the honour of stepping up to play in the first team. It has certainly undermined a lot of them, like KAG and THD. We want Roland OUT and Squirrel Face!
Players in general are very candid in what they say to fans, but it appears they are so hacked off with that woman and the rant, that they will tell warts and all to anyone that cares to listen.
