Excellent, those are really good traits in a player so young, especially the ability to play the easy pass. Not giving the ball away is such a crucial part of being a true defensive midfielder, and it usually means being more conservative and less impetuous than a young player would normally be.bolloxbolder said:Dijksteel is a very understated player as he plays the holding role. Very physically strong, good in the tackle and can also play a long pass, but usually just breaks up play and passes short to more alleged creative players. I rate him highly.

It is a funny league with only 10 teams but we play teams from the North league as well. Does anyone know how many games we play?cafcfan said:Stewart said:Has anyone got the league table?

Yes. For both the U18s and U21s we play each of the teams in the "South" league home and away and each of the teams in the "North" league once: that's a total of 29 fixtures.ross1 said:

Remind me, where did they used to be played? I don't suppose it has anything to do with the Sparrow's Lane redevelopment?Pedro45 said:

Wonder if it's cheaper for the club to have them at The Valley. Either way, I think it's good for the young players. It gets them used to the ground so that when they break into the first team the surroundings will be familiar and hopefully they won't be too overly awed.2 -

of course he is its getting near the end of the season the lad wants to be in "shop window" so he can get away0

Really happy for him. Suspect he'll only last 45 minutes, and it'll be a long road back, but it must be really nice for him to play a meaningful game of football again.2

One glimmer of hope I had for next season is people like Kashi, Bauer and Vetokele not being fit enough to be back in time for the end of the season so we'd have a greater chance of keeping them. Sods law states now we are down we'll have a full squad to select from again5

. Bauer isn't in the team, which makes me suspect Jose would rather him training with the first team. Figure if he plays today he misses today's training session, and probably tomorrow's. Hopefully he's fit enough to play some part at the weekend.

0-0 at the half. Total domination Mitov a spectator . Kashi and cook running the show but leeds hard to break down. Without Lookman this team is not as good as the previous two years team.4
-
Unlucky from Harry there but doesnt look as though Kashi has lost his sharpness.3
-
Kashi off at half time. Looked good but could see he was not match fit.1
