Not surprised. They're only 1 point above us and we're total shit!

I wouldn't say that, maybe complete and utter shit is more appropriate?

Neil Redfearn has left Rotherham, and has now set his sights on Barnsley, as he attempts to manage every football club in Yorkshire.
  • Shocked at this decision. Can only be good news for us.

well Huddersfield brought in the unknown (to me anyway) Wagner and he's done them proud so far .. Perhaps Rotherham have found their own foreign guru to lead them to the promised land of safety .. or they might appoint Dean Saunders or Ian Holloway ..
Redfearn, presuming he was in charge of signings, had done some strange deals and his team selection against us was woeful and was little better on Saturday at Bolton .. a nice man but a pretty below average manager
  • SkyBet currently have Andy Hughes as the favourite to become the next Manager, whilst they've also put Neil Warnock (because of his Yorkshire links with Sheffield United I guess) and Mark Cooper (ex-Swindon) in the running
  • Powell should be waiting. He'd be good up there

The club can confirm that Andy Hughes has left #rufc with immediate effect. We thank Andy for his efforts and wish him well for the future.

Looks like SkyBet got that wrong when they said that Andy Hughes was the favourite.

    Get him down here

Are we sure the signature on his letter of resignation wasn't forged by some unscrupulous Charlton fan ?

Interestingly, the assistant manager Nicky Eaden has been kept on for the time being, so clearly they weren't impressed with Hughes as a coach or potential manager

Actually Powell has a better points per game record than Wagner at Huddersfield - that won't go down well with that weirdo from Leeds who comes on here every now & again!!

Is this really a sacking, or another cunning ruse from our mystery form filling avenger??

Powell's a good manager but he finds it difficult in this age of megalomaniac owners including the two he fell out with at Huddersfield and (of course) CAFC ... Chris wants it his way, the owner wants it his, there is only ever gonna be one winner, and it won't ever be the manager

Hughes is a smashing bloke, but not a manager/head coach, at the moment.

    He's far too "lively"/Gazza like.

Hughes has also left now..........Also today Derby County have sacked manager Paul Clement and thats with them in a play off spot. It is interesting to note that just like when Katrien Miere announced when she appointed Luzon as manager "we hope he will be our Alex Ferguson in terms of how long he will be here" the Derby owner (Mel Morris) said the same thing when they gave Clement the job and both only lasted about 7/8 months instead of the anticipated 25 years plus. Who'd want to be a football manager (or should that be head coach).

The key is not to be introduced as Sir Alex before you start

Be introduced as "our Karel Fraeye" and you'll end up a club legend
  • Can people please say Toytown instead of Rotherham please.

Imagine if Guy Luzon got it and kept them up

Guy Luzon's crazy man rantings on the touch line clearly have a short term impact but I also suspect that the squad tires of these within ten games.
