Bad decision as well, would have been missing!The_President said:Now Duminy out lbw Topley

Their problem - wasted the review.!0

Jordan is a Brilliant fielder but very average bowler . So is he worth his place for his 2 catches alone?1
-
222-5 off 430
-
246-7, couple of overs left.0
-
262 after 500
-
Eng 78-1 off 180
-
England won with 4 overs to spare.
Hales got 99
Buttler hit a quickfire 48 no to see him through0 -
England won the toss in the 3rd ODI and will bat with no change to the side.
The one obvious switch would be to bring Broad in for Jordan. Would improve our chances of taking wickets and wouldn't exactly weaken the batting with Rashid and Willey batting at 8 and 9 respectively.
And whilst we might miss Jordan's athleticism in the field you don't pick a player for his fielding alone. You pick a player for his fielding when compared to someone of a similar ability e.g. Woakes. That isn't the case here.0 - Sponsored links:

SA drop Roussouw for Wiese in order to give them a 5th bowler. Their batting line-up has a long tail now IMO0
-
England won the toss & batted.
62-1 off 12.0 -
184-3 off 33
Root is 83* (80) but, whilst the pitch looks two paced and of uneven bounce, Morgan looks like someone who hasn't batted in anger for some time for just 6 off 21. Perhaps it's the lull before the storm.0 -
187-4 . Morgan out 8.0
-
Morgan goes for 8 off 24.
187-4 off 24
0 -
218-4 off 38
Root 106* (97)
Stokes 8* (10)0 -
SEVEN ODI tons for Root, equal with Gower and only one behind Gooch!0
-
What a great player he will be for England - we are lucky to have him and Stokes and Buttler.0

And as pointed out on SS he does it without anyone noticing it. One boundary per over and a couple of singles and that's good enough when you have Buttler, Stokes, Hales, Roy, Morgan etc etc launching it.The_President said:What a great player he will be for England - we are lucky to have him and Stokes and Buttler.

Be interesting to see had they can get the score up to. Stupid run out there between root and stokes. Got to be looking at 310 - 3200

Root's was a tad unlucky imo. The really silly one was Roy's because he was out by two inches having not sprinted the first one, hesitated on the turn and then had to run around the bowler!ricky_otto said:Be interesting to see had they can get the score up to. Losing wickets left, right and centre and struggling to get to 300
291-8 off 47.30 -
not forgetting of course that we have the man with a career average of 3.8 at 110
-
That's shocking. Sounds like Simon church's goal ratio per 50 games.Addick Addict said:not forgetting of course that we have the man with a career average of 3.8 at 11

Blimey, if you're saying Root isn't great now, I fear for every other country when he reaches his peakThe_President said:What a great player he will be for England - we are lucky to have him and Stokes and Buttler.
