Sod's law. He's our ref against Rotherham on Saturday.

Bollocks!!... If only it was the other way round with Darren Deadman as referee rather than 4th official
Put Big Mak on to try and take him out ;-)

Bloody hell. We get Stroud after the idiot that reffed the Blackburn game last Saturday who clearly suffers from delusions of competence. We're doomed I tell ya, doomed.

    Katrien probably requested him.

Surely the club can question this ?

Alas we are not Man U,Chelsea or Arsenal and they would laugh in our face but any complaint would need to come from a competent person within the club, and they are a bit thin on the ground these days.

    Yeah can see it now...

Charlton: Oi... FA we dont like Keith Stroud as our ref because he's made dodgy decisions over past matches
FA: Oh stop moaning Charlton, your not a big club so this appeal is frivolous

I think the FA are more likely to say " ....looking at your current situation you must have had him ref you every week then?"

Make your mind up! You said the following last night on another Charlton forum.

The league have put Keith Stroud in charge of another Charlton game on Saturday , the club have requested a change due to Stroud clear bias over the years against Charlton ...

I sometimes wonder if Colin really exists or if someone is just on a really clever wind up. And then I realise no, he is real. Most days though I try and ignore anything written by or against him and I find that works well.
  • hows he doing so far?

I thought it was a harsh pen and my heart was in my mouth when he went up to Makienok, I think he realised he couldn't get away with a sending off for that when he was walking - he can't give the game away can he?

Def penalty, Tex fault, same as 1st goal. MOM one week, a couple of bad mistakes, but still better than other choices
  • Nah I said penalty the moment their player went down... I hate Stroud but any ref will give them here and its something Teixeira will need to get used to quickly

Thought he did moderately well today, thought he was going to be his usual prat self by sending off Makienok straight after he'd scored but had some sense, the rest of the game he acted like a proper referee

thought the player cut in, was contact with arms but not enough to bring him down.
  • thought the player cut in, was contact with arms but not enough to bring him down.

You only have to breath on a player to bring them down these days though
  • I thought it was a penalty. Their player had the better of Tex and the only thing he could do was try to grab him. Silly mistake really. Still, was worth giving it away to see one of the worst penalties ever.
  • Definite penalty. Nonsense to say otherwise.

Can't stand Stroud but in fairness he didn't have a bad game today.

Agree a lot of refs would give it but player was looking for it

for the record, he had a good game today other than the Fox booking for backchat .. far too picky picky picky .. he is a rare referee, one who seems to deliberately 'favour', though not too much, the away team ?? .. or perhaps easier to write that he is not a 'homer' like some referees
  • Was a soft pen, Poor decision from tex but soft pen

Thought he did well today. A number of decisions were given in our favour which a weaker ref may have overlooked given how edgey their crowd were. Def pen imo. Once defender gets wrong side in those situations you're asking for trouble. Glad to see only a penalty given, always think penalty and red is too harsh regardless of whether it's for or against us.
