not sure if that's good or not?

It's more exposure to the public so it's definitely a good thing. It means we've become a pretty standard matter on football journalists' agenda. Sucks for Katrien.

Thought the Lisbie Perry line was funny - though not quite topical.
  • Where do we get Chorlton and the Wheelies costumes from, then?

It makes the point(s), though; Iniquitous, greedy, grabbing, destabilising ...
and concludes with a picture of those prepared to stand up to it all and oppose the sham.

Incredible that somebody at a national newspaper remembered Kevin Lisbie.

Enjoy the moment SuperKev, wherever you are.

One of the select view who've scored a hat-trick against Liverpool. I especially enjoyed the third, it made Dudek look a right mug.

Notice in the comments that someone's wheeled out the old Charlton fans not satisfied with mid-table in the Prem crap again though.

It's because it's easy and stereotypical of the people who were getting airtime on Jason cundys sky programme, on 606 and on talksport

Who wanted to hear about us being happy to be competing and punching above our weight

I'd really like to be able to give a load of shit and grief to one of my pub-supporter dropout mates about little us rolling their heroes. Or giving them aggro and making them look stupid pointing out I'd been to their home ground more than they had.

And now we have fucking Gillingham looking horribly like they will be in a division above us next season. We've now spent nearly a decade being shit, barring a wonderful record breaking division 3 title winning season we have been horrible to watch and generally be around. In that time the highlights can be counted on one hand (take out the 2011/12 season)

Amd now we are stuck with these europhile, prancing shits owning us

That's because it was true of some fans.

I never heard that. What I heard was frustration at the beach towels and flip-flops coming out when we hit the requisite points required for safety.

Nothing wrong with a bit of ambition. It's a shame the team, management and owners at the time were satisfied.

I remember an fair number of people (mainly those who had 'found' the club around 1998) in Curbishley's last year or so saying he had taken us as far as he could and we needed a change to take us to the next level of the top half of the Premier League. I still prayed for 40 points at the start of each season.
