Even more amazing is that the guardian never, ever, reports on football unless it is premier league. Charlton have had three articles in a week rather than a decade.

My paper of choice. Neither it nor the Observer spend much time reporting on the Championship never mind Charlton, so this is an absolute godsend. Happy with the latest report anyway.

My paper of choice as well. They tend not to report on the Champo, but they are good for reporting on clubs in crisis (credit to Gibson, Conn, Ingle, et al), especially in their online edition. 2-3 weeks back their (brilliant) footy podcast Football Weekly did a segment on Charlton, with John Ashdown (Sheff United, covers the lower leagues) speaking on the matter. As I said on another thread, once they get a story, they're good at following through.

Owen Gibson, Guardian journalist and guest speaker at the CAS Trust's AGM last year bemoaned that it was difficult to get stories about football teams that were not in the Premiereship into the mainstream press. Those in attendance at said AGM voiced their opinion that such a state of affairs was unwelcome.
Owen has been pushing our cause, and the result is that our plight - and our fightback - has made the national press, again. Good on him, and his colleagues.
We are the fans that made history with The Valley Party, and we are the fans that will triumph once more, this time over our absentee 'benefactor'. His (RD's) 'strategy' has been shown for what it is - laudable, perhaps, but nebulous - and the result may be the ruination of our club.
We can take heart from our grass-roots success, both in 1990 and now....and know, with certainty, that we have influential allies.

I've just read the report. if that is really Paul Lambert's opinion of the situation here, I'm shocked someone could be so obtuse.

That's Paul Lambert sitting on the fence.
