Charlton Athletic Football Club is at the heart of its community, both geographically in SE London and supporters worldwide.
The club has given us, the fans, some of the greatest moments in our lives and made us part of something more than the sum of its parts (fabulous though they are), it has made us proud, and happy and sad, like any other family member.
The owner and the current administration are shambolic, and cannot comprehend what has made Charlton uniquely special - the body of the club is infected, but the efforts of the body as a whole will expel the disease.
