As there has been no announcement and it's now 1.30pm, is it safe to assume (weep over the fact) that Fraeye is being trusted to manage the side to another defeat tomorrow night?

well it could be that with a match tomorrow Jose has been thrown straight in at the deep end and hasn't time to give an interviews. Wouldn't stop a press release announcing it though. Would be great if he's turned it down although we'd then be stuck with Fraeye or another hopeless Belgian.

some players do deserve the abuse they get, some do not i think chanting your not fit to wear the shirt is justified when as a team you throw away a 2 goal lead not once but twice in games quite close together, the villa fans at the weekend were a disgrace but i think thats where we are different we know its not the players its the management and the fuckwits upstairs.
  • They've put the feelers out and the usual drop to their knees and worship the owners reaction hasn't happened so they may be having a re think as to what to do to get the fans on side , luckily for them I have the answer

Fuck Clear off out of our club you complete muppets

Maybe Riga has the termerity to put conditions on his return, and RD can't understand why he isn't just saying 'yes lord', like all the other lackeys.

I also think the delay is odd.

Not as interesting as your comment. ;-)

You are correct. Last time Riga was at SL, RD wanted out and didn't want to invest a lot in the club since that would have effected the selling price. Riga was displeased with the lack of good players so he resigned. I imagine if RD gave Riga a call offering the job now at Charlton, Riga said "yes, but .... gimme some money and players". Bob Peeters had an enormous problem with KM, so you won't see him back.

I think Big Bad Bob was a far better judge of character than we gave him credit for!
  • I'd be surprised if we dont just see Riga in the dugout tomorrow night and when asked why no prior announcement was made KM will say: But he's been there all the time, we didnt ever get rid

I can picture the Peeters household now.

"Darling, how do you fancy London in six months time?".

    Roland lives with Bob?

We should get behind the team, people screaming 'you're not fit to wear the shirt' at our captain and great servant Jackson on Saturday is a disgrace! Anyone who's going to scream that may aswell stay at home because it won't help matters! Shout at KM and Murray as much as you want and call them whatever you want but not at the players!

The regime is a farce and the team aren't good enough but that's not their fault its our f***ing idiot of a CEO and that snake Murray who are letting us down!

Agreed... It happened a few months ago when it was pretty much just Solly / Jackson / Cousins / Henderson walked off the pitch side by side, was one chant I really hated as those three will always put in the effort, they've all been out of form recently but none of them have hid!!
Henderson, Jackson,Solly etc are no stupid they know were not booing or chanting at them.

Bear in mind that Luzon is probably in the background somewhere in Staprix and it's possible that if negotiations with Riga break down then Luzon could be brought back to replace, erm, Guy Luzon.

If Riga and Luzon turn it down, and Peeters upset the regime (according to earlier posts) then that leaves two possibilities.

1 Fraeye is sacked and then re-appointed as interim interim manager until someone else can be found
2 Fraeye is sacked and Meire, after an intense session on FIFA Manager while in the laundry basket on the journey back from Colchester, is appointed the new interim manager.
The year is 2542, KarelFraeyebot Mk 52.1 remains as Interim Head Coach of Charlton for the second season, following an excellent 19th place finish in the Coca Cola Intergalactic Division 24.

Due to this lofty league position, Charlton enter the 1st round of the Universe Cup with Budweiser in an open draw with another 1.05m teams. Charlton draw Huddersfield Town away in the cup.

No one sung that to Jackson
It was sung in the players direction, Jackson was with Poyet and one other when applauding fans!

So you think that singing 'you're not fit to wear the shirt' is going to somehow inspire them to victory and motivate a team bereft of any confidence, and with a conference standard manager supplying the tactical nouse?

They are not stupid, they know who we are fighting and why we are fighting them. The only one that might get caught in the cross fire is Morgan Fox and that's because he has been awful as of late.

If Riga wasn't deemed good enough before, then why bring him back? Couldn't make it up................................................... oh hang on, we're owned and staffed by Belgian tossers with blinkers on.

No one has said he wasn't deemed good enough before.

Yes, they didn't extend his contract and brought Peeters in, but it couldn't have been because he wasn't deemed good enough.

It was more likely because he wasn't a yes man, cost more than Peeters or Peeters had already been agreed as the new manager after Powell, but couldn't start until the summer.
Riga a very nice bloke spoke to him a few times , his main problem was his family and there reluctance to move to the area ....
And yet they moved to Blackpool?
But his family did not that's why he went missing for two weeks to go back home ......
Why are you continuing to ignore his sons tweet when he stated categorically that Jose wanted to stay and was very disappointed when he was not offered the job .

    The delay is becoming interesting.

Maybe RD has spun the wheel again, and it came up as Karel - maybe he could be the first Interim coach to be sacked and then come back as full-time coach on the same day since (insert name).

Prefer that to the bufoons clapping the effing team off. I mean, i understand these chants don't help but just because the board are wankers it doesn't give these players the right to be utterly dreadful and get away free of charge.

Colchester are utterly terrible and they beat our hopeless lot comfortably. They are well paid proffessional footballers and need to take responsibility and if a kick up the arse from the fans is the only way its going to come from anywhere then so be it.
