The Team That Didn't Start Yesterday

Not too many who wouldn't be in our best X1:
Henderson
Solly
Bauer
Williams
THD
Jackson
Diarra
Kashi
JBG
Lookman
Harriott
Not included in that side from players who are still "our" players - Igor, Vaz Te, KAG, Bergdich, Watt, Lennon
And surely would have beaten the team that we did start with:
Pope
Charles-Cook
Sarr
Johnson
Fox
Moussa
Poyet
Cousins
Ceballos
Mak
Reza
Providing, of course, we can find a Manager who is capable of getting the best out of them, is that not a positive among the gloom? Or am I being overly optimistic?

I think many of us believe (and have done for most of the season) that our first XI is good enough to compete in this division. The problem we have is poor managers and not enough cover when injuries and suspensions hit. It seems that we've started to address the issue of cover (at least until the end of the season), now it's time to address the management problem.10

removing the interim one won't resolve everything but it's a step forward and yes I do think we have a side capable of competing in this division.
It's essential they are set up to play in a system they understand and it's clear the current coach cannot do that.
Currently players are reacting to having the ball at their feet as opposed to looking for it or anticipating it.2 -

The one bit I remember of the radio commentary on BBC Essex was "the managers just told them to go out there and spread out". The team we put out should have beaten Colchester but there is just no tactics or strategy to our play.1
