Well done Kerry Lee and Mountainous. Brilliant win.

Unlucky PM. I'm going to say nothing about an Evan Williams horse running on to take a place in a National ;-) Probably because it was beaten by a better weighted horse.

Kerry Lee certainly seems to be more than a chip of the old block.

Peanuts: you are a legend. I had FF at 28/1 e/w which gave me a lovely profit. Gutted I went too early on WC as I only had 4 places e/w. Still, a win is a win! Top man. Bring on the Grand National!

Cheers Chief. I only had WC for 4 places too, as I wanted to take 20s before it disappeared. Just breakeven for me but no matter - a great race and the original model kind of showed up well. 3 of its top 4 in the front 5 and can't complain about Mountainous - a thoroughly deserving winner.

Sadly no. Monbeg Dude was my winner (Jan 2013)
  • Well done PM.
I had Mountainous win but did WC e/w early, so missed out on the extra place.

Coral are tossers. Paying 5 places online but not for bets placed in shop.

WC very nearly got up - only 5th by a neck........but you really are the king of near misses Chief.

Nice win Chief, well done - always a gamble whether to take the price or wait for the extra place - I've done it countless times at Aintree and again today.

    Pathetic on their own race.

    Holy cow.
That WN race time was 8m 26.6s - the slowest since 1993.
You shouldn't compare too closely because of different rail positions but it was 19 secs slower than last year. That is equivalent to Mountainous crossing the line comfortably more than a furlong behind the 2014 winner Emperor's Choice.

Just found out they are only paying 3 places on the 23 runner 2.40 at Punchestown. Where did my selection finish.... 4th. Haha.

Backed WC e/w (25/1) with PP for the original race. Are PP paying out for 5th, my bet said it lost :(

Sadly I don't think PP (or any of them in fact) went 5 places until after declarations yesterday morning. Sorry Chief.
  • Paddy did pay me on line for 5th Woodford
  • Done Woodford county ew antepost so no cigar.
Told the other half about it this morning so she done it 5 places which annoys me even more.

    Thanks as always Peanuts.

Had the two e/w in the top five. Only had a very little bet on them as not working at the mo, has paid for a curry and a couple of vey much needed beers after today's result.
