    Underwhelmed
  • I am surprised they haven't tried to get Jonathan Woodgate and Ledley King out of retirement - they have played about as much football as this bloke has in recent years.

    What a fucking shambles.

When someone who he played so little football recently walks straight into our team you know there are problems.

Agreed. Speak volumes about the quality of Sarr.

Is an initial loan roughly the same as an interim appointment? If so, he could be our longest serving player this time next year.

Unfortunately the poor lad is on a hiding for nothing - such is the history of desperate signings we have made under this regime and our inability, because of the situation we find ourselves in, to attract anything other than a player with more baggage than Lady Gaga on tour.

Another body. Not like we don't need more ! Don't write him off til we see him play
  • This one of those tactical news announcements prior to any from of protest to appease the fans? Million miles from doing that

From a positive viewpoint, English Champ experience and seemingly not a bad player but as always, with the constant negatives shrouding anything this mob do, a fitness gamble and could be a crock. Trying to cut corners and get players on the cheap, as per

A player who's never quite reached the levels he promised a few years ago due to injuries etc. Fingers crossed it works out!
  • Anyone is better than what we currently have at centre half

    Who is he?

Only Rhys Williams I know of is the disgraced 400 metre hurdler son of JJ the former Welsh rugby international and Commonwealth Games athlete.

good pedigree, one of three brothers who are pro footballers, Australia international, father from Kent, mother from Mumbai, he's versatile and will allow Diarra (when fit) to concentrate on midfield ..

SO .. welcome Rhys and all the VERY best of luck .. look forward to seeing you in Yorkshire (pool any 1 from 3) later this month

Rhys Williams signs to save Charlton Athletic.
    Because Fraeye can't.
    Agents must absolutely love Katrien.

Typical response. Not started a game for us yet and already condemned. Good luck Rhys.

Typical response from someone who doesn't understand. Nothing to do with the player, he is, well was, a very decent player. It's the system people are moaning at and the type of players we're constantly recruiting I.e. Knackered , hardly played any football and with a good chance of becoming injured.

Lennon was infinitely worse than Sarr against Wolves. Could take either or them out TBF.

A good player, a leader on the pitch, championship experience. What's not to like? Welcome and the best of luck sir.
  • Good player before the injuries, my main concern is I expect him to take 4 or 5 games to get fit and then just as he is Boro will want him back.

He will love it at the Marriott in Bexleyheath.

With any player we sign we all want them to be successful, but again we are putting a player in with very limited playing time and essentially getting him fit for Boro.

If he gets injured again we are back at square one.

It really shows how bad our team is that a player out for nearly 2 yrs can hobble into the team

On the positive side he is quite experienced, has been club captain so may also add some desperately needed leadership on the pitch. On the negative side he won't be match fit and it's 28 days.
If he's the first of several and the others are match fit, could turn out to be useful. Let's give the guy a chance!

However doesn't get RD and KM off the hook.
The important event today is 5pm not 3pm anyway
