    Seeing the Black and white pics of the early 60's of Grandstand yesterday,
    Made me realize that Peter Dimmock had a long life because he looked middle age then ! He qualified as a pilot in the war, and joined the BBC in 1946,and was on both sides of the camera, he was the first presenter of Grandstand and Sportsview and did the first SPOTY back in the 50's, along with David Coleman he was the main men behind BBC sport, back in Auntie's hay day.
