December 2015 – January 2016
From Christmas Eve to 3 January 2016, Thameslink Programme improvement work affecting London Bridge means no trains will be stopping at Charing Cross, Waterloo East, Cannon Street and London Bridge.
There will be a revised timetable and those trains going into and from London will start/terminate at Victoria, Blackfriars or New Cross. This means that trains may be busier than usual.
Please note that the three working days during this time will also be affected by these station closures. Tickets will be accepted on alternative routes on Transport for London services. More detail will be available shortly.
There will be no Southeastern trains from 8.00pm on Christmas Eve, so please be aware that last trains from Charing Cross and Cannon Street will be earlier than normal and you need to check before you travel for the revised timetable.
The following stations will not have direct trains to London throughout this period. Replacement buses will be available, and tickets will be accepted on alternative routes - Belvedere, Catford Bridge, Clock House, Deptford, Eden Park, Elmers End, Erith, Greenwich, Hayes, Lower Sydenham, Maidstone West, Maze Hill, New Cross, New Beckenham, Snodland, St Johns, West Wickham, Westcombe Park and Woolwich Dockyard.0 -

I hadn't realised there were more engineering works this weekend, arrived at London Bridge this morning, only to find no trains running from there to Charlton...

Really? I literally cannot remember the last time my train departed or arrived on time, morning or evening. Okay, they might not be 'late' by Southeastern's definition (ie, 30 minutes late on a 33 minute journey) but we're generally looking at 5+ minutes each way every single day.ChiAddick said:They have actually been pretty good for a few weeks until this morning. I got the 6.45am from Battle to CX and was told it would terminate at Ldn Bridge but by the time we got there the situation had been resolved and it went to CX as normal and just four minutes behind schedule.Hastingsaddick said:charltonkeston said:Not nice this morning.

Indeed, I was at Waterloo this evening. Instead of 45 minutes to Greenhithe it was 1 hour 25 as I had to mess about with the tube and get an extra slow train from Victoria. I don't understand how they can charge full prices.ValleyGary said:This sack of shit are at it again tomorrow.

Bus to Eltham, Train to Victoria and walked through Hyde Park to Paddington as the sun was coming up at 7.30. If it wasn't damp I would have cycled up on a Boris bike.

@addick1965 It's defo easier and more frequent trains from Eltham to Victoria. Every 15-20 mins or so. Then district and jubilee line to london bridge takes about 10 mins? The 132 wasn't on the bus time update thing for about 30 mins today, and it predicted 40 mins from Eltham to North Greenwich.
The New Eltham line seems every 30 mins to Blackfriars which is about as helpful as a chocolate teapot.0 -

Tfl won't make a difference. Unless they build more lines packed trains will continue. Look at all the new properties being built. No new trains or lines tho. It will be like the tube. All standing.1
