It's beginning to look like all the top dogs at FIFA are being investigated for corruption EXCEPT Blatter. Hmm, I smell a rat (literally)1

Perhaps Blatter is helping the FBI and isChrissy\\\'s Army!! said:It's beginning to look like all the top dogs at FIFA are being investigated for corruption EXCEPT Blatter. Hmm, I smell a rat (literally)

Will FIFA be disbanded and put back together under another name at the end of all this? It's a viable option IMO. There's absolutely zero trust in that name.
The ultimate goal is Blatter to spend the rest of his decrepit life in a prison. Won't happen though1 -
It may happen with Blatter though. The US are driving this and if there is anything there they will get him. I guess at the end of the day it depends how well he has covered his tracks and can anything be made to stick. It's obvious, as the top man, he must have known what has been going on but it's whether they'll be able to prove it.0

Given how corrupt the top FIFA officials are I would be astounded if one or more of them could not be persuaded to drop Blatter in it in exchange for leniency/immunity.0

The Feds must finally get their hands on his greasy old cojones or old Sepp at the age of 125 will still be sitting pretty on a great big stinking pile of corpses...
Good news though,
Russian football is NOT racist. They just had a massive glut of bananas caused by a fantastic harvest in the Urals.1 -
Used to see Blatter all over the media playing the victim and pointing the finger at the media (particularly the UK).
Not so keen now is he?2 -

I can beat that. Here's an even better article.Callumcafc said:Quite a bit about this in the British media but the most in depth article I've found is the one below, in the Brazilian media. Doesn't look very good for Valcke, or for FIFA.

There lies the plan I would hope.Rizzo said:Given how corrupt the top FIFA officials are I would be astounded if one or more of them could not be persuaded to drop Blatter in it in exchange for leniency/immunity.
Everyone knows blatter may be hiding something. So go for everyone around them and get concrete evidence by bargaining with those underneath him.
Get minor charges against smaller characters with enough evidence to confirm action, and a dossier to throw at the main man. Much better than trying to throw the book at everyone and having them stand together.
Pick them off one by one whilst they fragment and fall apart, all giving more info about each other and, more importantly, Blatter. Proper divide and conquer tactics that should lead ensure they don't stand united.
That's my uninformed hope anyway.2 - Sponsored links:

I'm sure I heard on the radio the other day that they're currently investigating Blatter directly. Something about him selling Jack Warner the world cup TV rights for $300k, and then Warner selling them on for $12m (with presumably the allegation being that Blatter deliberately under-valued them and then split the mark-up with Warner).0

This! The British were racist. We hated FIFA. etc etc. Now the filthy little fat man is being quiet. However, it would have looked much better when the allegations came to light if he had launched an investigation, instead of a series of attacks on the British media.Addicted said:Used to see Blatter all over the media playing the victim and pointing the finger at the media (particularly the UK).

Just my hope, but may he die in a cell.

Do the Americans really want to piss off Russia by digging too far and too quickly? I can see this investigation being used as leverage with Putin and as a way of guaranteeing an American world cup next time round.0
