    What kind of camera is that? I don't understand how the players are in focus and the people in the crowd 50 or so yards behind are also in focus!

    It's a couple of years old now, A Canon Powershot SX40 . You can pick them up quite cheaply ,

    It just has a built in ultra-wide 35x optical zoom.

    Yeah, my dad didn't recognise him at all, said he looks like he's lost weight, but gained a student barnet
