    I actually find Wales being in the top ten far more believable than the World Cup being in Qatar in the summer.

    Scrap the four year results... Results are based from January to January each year and restart at the end of each

    Yes I looked at that - the Netherlands in fourth? Have a gander at their results for the last football year...

    Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending the FIFA system VG, but the ELO one also seems to have come out of the "blue sky" with the Cloggies ranking 4th, if you are going to just use recent results. And you can't tell me half the England knockers (oh-err) on here wont be apoplectic at us being ranked 8th...

    I presume the ELO ratings are over a longer time scale, hence the Welsh being in 43rd, below Scotland and Ireland, when they're definitely much better than the Irish at the moment.

    I presume the maximum ELO rating you can achieve is 10538...

    Another example of this system being flawed too.

    Any budding Duckworths or Lewis's on here want to come up with a better idea? I'm not a numbers man, so I have no idea.
