The most unfortunate own goal of all time?

Is Bassett's own goal the most unfortunate of all time?

I say she had to put her foot out and the rest is just bad luck. She can't be blamed - agree?

Obviously Escobar in the most unfortunate of senses, but in terms of the importance of the game, or timing therein, and in terms of the degree of awfulness -which is the worst and which is the worst in an England shirt?

Looks decent, think he could do a job for us this season, who's he playing for at the minute?

Paul Parker in 1990 if it counts as an own goal.

Croatia away in the qualifiers for euro 2008

Gary neville played a very innocuous, innocent back pass to paul Robinson. Ball hits divot and hops over Robinsons already heftily swinging foot

That was pretty unfortunate for everyone involved

Gary Mabbutt's OG sticks in my mind. Cried my eyes out afterwards.

That's the first cup final I properly remember. Didn't Des Walker knock in an OG for Spurs against Forest in '91?

I always love watching Dowie's, at first glance looks deliberate and a really nice finish, then you realise its an OG!

Yes he did. That was the only goal he scored for Forest too, IIRC.

[Edit: having just checked on Wikipedia, thats totally incorrect. Walker scored one goal for Forest, an equalizer in a 1-1 draw with Luton Town]

I love how Lee Dixon spins round and executes a perfect chip over David Seaman.

Blimey I have no idea who it was against .All I remember us that I was about 12 years old standing high up on the open East terrace and Downman scored a corker in front of the covered end.
