Good news for the world or another false dawn like Obama has proved to be?

  • If American politics remains so polarised it doesn't really matter who's president.
  • The alternative is likely to be Jeb Bush. So on that basis, it can only be a good thing.
  • Not being George W bush was good for the world. Enough for the Nobel Peace Prize even. Not sure if Jeb will be as shit as his brother... Its hard to know how it will affect us tbh.
  • the wife of a lying ex-president who somehow retains the 'love and affection' of the US public .. she's been a 'civil servant' for the past thirty years, a Washington insider well used to the compromise necessary in what the Americans call pork barrel politics .. she'll do well as a chattering, rabble rousing president for the so called 'minorities' but in reality will not change the lot of the American people one iota

Think you have being watching too much of Fox News.

you think wrong .. never have watched it ..
  • Figureheads don't make decisions so it really doesn't matter.
  • Politics aside, I think she's a bit too old to be president. Her age and health could well be an issue.
  • American politics is very different form here, whilst the President is the most powerful man in the world, domestically at least he /.
she can be powerless against Congress and the senate as it stands today.

Bush or Clinton any day it has to be Clinton. Obama over promised and could never meet the expectations of the electorate but free healthcare will forever be his positive legacy.

You should Lincs, you and FN were made for each other...
I like it when people criticise others opinions but appear not to have the grit to let their own be known .. you @Algarveaddick and others must watch a lot of 'fox news' to consider that I should join you as a regular viewer .. what is your opinion of the aged battleaxe Mrs Clinton ?
  • You never see Hillary Clinton and Ed Miliband in the same place at the same time do you? It's the eyebrows, just saying...

you really should read up on Obamacare .. it's neither free nor is it ever going to be applied right across the USA .. many states are doing all they can to have the legislation either repealed or watered down to be virtually unworkable
  • I find it hard enough to understand what party in charge is better for the uk let alone the usa,

Is she in layman terms like a tory, labour, lib dem, green or ukip

Lincs don't like her, have a guess mate...
  • It would be a remarkable achievement for her to become President after nearly being killed as she dodged a hail of bulletts as she got off a plane in Bosnia.......
  • Is she the best person for the gig?

Probably not, as I doubt the best person for the job will even be standing. Or a politician.

She has too much of her own baggage to get elected.

All well and good, but now more people have NO healthcare than ever.
  • Clinton will be a good President, following on from some good work by Obama.
  • Clinton will be a good President, following on from some good work by Obama.

Obama has basically done diddly squat. He has had terrible approval ratings for much of his presidency. The only reason he was reelected is because the GOP candidate was religious nutcase moron.

Personally don't see her age as an issue, think she's still young enough to see out a term at least.
  • Clinton will be a good President, following on from some good work by Obama.

I thought that was meant as sarcasm.
  • What;s the view of Obama in the states from you guys on the other side of the pond?
  • Obama has slowed the economic recovery with Obamacare. fewer people have health insurance now than had it before. Obamacare is the cause of the slow economic recovery, anybody who says different has not seen it's daily effects first hand as I have.
For instance, a married couple with no kids, in their thirties and in good health, have to pay a premium of around 1200 - 1500 dollars a month in premiums, approximately the same as before, but now their deductible, per annum, before insurance pays for anything, is 10,000 dollars! People who previously had no insurance can't afford this any more than they could have before. Now, if they don't buy Obamacare they are fined.
When people go on the Obamacare web-site, they have to "sign-up" as they go into the site, if they then see that they can't afford the insurance and bail out, they are counted as "signed up", to make the numbers look better. It's a total farce.
As for the foreign policies of this administration, we are all in more danger than we were when they took over.
