New Boots and Panties in '77 was unique because it achieved the impossible in my household of myself (into The Beatles, The Jam, Small Faces), my brother (then into Deep Purple, Led Zep and Pink Floyd) and my sister (into Rose Royce, The Commodores and Gladys Knight) all agreeing it was brilliant. A truly great album.

So glad to see The Stranglers get two mentions. Without a doubt my favourite band and how often do you see a band release TWO great albums in the same year these days?
